And it's very simple why that's the case. Having that sudden increase in SA teams with the few available top players from the region would mean picking up previously dropped players that didn't perform well. What's the issue then? Well, it severely increases the chance of raafa (AKA Mr. 0.66 Rating) getting back to VCT. I know, scary.

posted 3 months ago

Lots of Tier 2 players getting picked up and yes, some of the teams would be quite deplorable sadly

posted 3 months ago

With the new rumors of RIOT splitting SA into a new league for 2027. Which 8 teams would you include in that franchised league?

posted 3 months ago

Everyone saying yes but LoL watchers now it isn't that simple. They gave SA their own league and everything went downhill for the region. Not a single LTA South team is competitive enough to realistically fight for any international and it doesn't seem like that's gonna change any time soon. The overall level of the region sadly tanked. The fact that itd be a franchised league would make things worse.

posted 3 months ago

that would've changed so many things. We probably would've never gotten aspas either

lets not imagine such things

This is not an opinion. This is stat based by rounds won. Teams can be mention twice using a different year and/or stage version of that team. The table will have the position of the team along with the year and stage and their average rounds won per map

#1 FURIA(2025) --- Stage 2 --- 4.33 Average Rounds won per map
#2 FURIA(2024) --- Stage 1 --- 6.75 Average Rounds won per map
#3 MIBR(2024) --- Stage 1 --- 6.90 Average Rounds won per map
#4 FURIA(2025) --- Stage 1 --- 7.00 Average ounds won per map
#5 DFM(2025) --- Stage 1 --- 7.45 Average Rounds won per map
#6 GE(2025) --- Stage 1 --- 7.70 Average Rounds won per map
#7 AG(2025) --- Stage 1 --- 7.75 AverageRounds won per map
#8 KC(2023) --- Stage 1&2 --- 7.89 Average Rounds won per map
#9 MIBR(2024) --- Stage 2 --- 8.00 Average Rounds won per map
#10 DFM(2023) --- Stage 1&2 --- 8.05 Average Rounds won per map

Will be when it gets announced that FURIA is no longer part of franchising 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

posted 4 months ago

Ehhh they are bad but last time G2 and FURIA played played each other FURIA got 10 rounds against G2 on the first map, and 7 rounds on the second map. Plus they got their coach and basic now, so I wouldn't bet on them losing like 13-1 and 13-3 or something like that. They absolutely could, but it's not a given by any means.

posted 4 months ago

But G2 plays with 4. Who wins?

posted 4 months ago

Even if they could why would they do that. It'd be expensive too

posted 4 months ago

Yeah thats what i meant, they didnt want to pay the high buyout which I theorize Sato also has

posted 4 months ago

thats true, i also think LEV would at the very least ask for a very decent chunk of money if he wants to leave for whatever reason. You don't just happen to sign the next aspas and let him go for free. So you would need sato to want to leave, a very competitive team looking to sign him (MIBR being the only realistic option), and then the team willing to pay his buyout, which mind you, most teams didn't even want to do that for aspas. MIBR being the only one last second.

honestly, good gimmick vlr acc

thats y i always play tdm. I save myself the bullshit spawns

posted 4 months ago

but he wanted to leave, afaik sato is very happy at lev. He has said it himself at various interviews, not to mention that when he was at M80 he rejected FURIA and LOUD so

Acting like Lev is gonna let go of sato lmfao. He already has a 2026 contract

posted 4 months ago

Looking at the table and it looks like everyone but NRG could still be out of playoffs depending on the results no? But so far the one that is the most fucked is MIBR being the only team with 3 loses so far I think. I need one of them nerdy ass tables explaining every possibility lmfao

posted 4 months ago

bc that's what the team asks from him, he doesn't need to play anything else bc ghoul covers the other duelists too so there's no need for him to play the jett or raze even though he could. That's like saying Trent could only play Tejo because he spammed that agent with G2 early in the year. He can play more agents, but if the team only needed him on Tejo and it was working why change him from that role? Same with Neon

posted 4 months ago

Dude, dont let recency bias fool you. We just won 2-1 but it was against KRU who isn't even top 4 in Americas rn. This after a piss hot season and we are finally looking better right before playoffs for Champions. This team is still far from doing crazy stuff at the international stage. Had we not locked in for 2nd map (which was very close) KRU could've won 2-0 and LEV's year would be finished after signing like 8 players and accomplishing nothing.

Plus, don't get it twisted. KRU recycled players that been in the scene for years, only exception being Dante just now, LEV would be picking up promising youngsters

posted 4 months ago

I genuenly don't know how they gonna do it

you have Sato, Neon and Ghoul. All 3 cracked duelists. Wtf do u do here

Sato has to stay as he has already proved himself in Tier 1, BUT not picking up Neon and/or Ghoul is next level stupidity. They are literally as good as it gets when it comes to LATAM talent. LEV Academy is literally the best outcome a team can hope for an academy (All 5 youngsters, farming their league, and coached by an experienced coach) If you don't promote at least 1 of the academy kids, then what's the point of an Academy. You ain't gonna find more success in an academy from what we have right now. My team just won and I'm already troubled

posted 4 months ago

Im pretty sure there's a scenario where KRU dont make playoffs if they lose against NRG. They playing that game like it's Champs

posted 4 months ago

aight bro we just looked good and u already jinxing us 🥀

posted 4 months ago

Honestly, I havent even checked the math, im just glad we are either making playoffs or we increased our chances with this win

posted 4 months ago

no matter what happens, he is making our 2026 team that's for sure. Unless he really wants to leave and someone is willing to buyout

I get your point but that's just the minimum industry standard, it's not a coincidence most contracts are 2 years minimum, and that's what most experienced players ask for. You either offer them a 2 year contract or they just don't sign with your org at all (assuming they got other decent options, if they don't then some are willing to take a 1 year contract). On the other hand, if the new player you signed isn't working out for your team, as an org(or a coach) you are gonna go look somewhere else for someone that can provide more for your team. It all comes down to both parties looking to get whats best for themselves which can force ugly situations.

The fact that the VCT circuit has very few games with each of them having very high importance, only pushes teams even further to try to quickly improve their roster if things aren't working out, which doesn't help either. Losing 2/3 games early can literally mean the end for your hopes of qualifying to Masters or Champs.

Imo, what you are asking for would require for the industry or at the very least VCT to change which is easier said than done. It's possible but I don't see it happening anytime soon

posted 4 months ago

LEV and most other orgs do that because most players in Tier 1 won't agree to a 1 year contract, unless it's a rookie whose only option is Tier 2 or free agency. It's job security basically, that way they know that if things go south, get benched and don't get picked up, they at least get to have another year worth of salary
