I think they’re still defo favoured but I think GX (assuming they’re the ones that win this) can defo upset, they have 4 players who have insane mechanical ceilings

Actually a breath of fresh air
Most VCT streamers feel like they have filters on, I feel like they’re scared of riot or smth, but ardiis is out here saying shit without thinking twice and speaking his mind (naturally that leads to some shite takes, but it’s funny when he’s wrong)

posted 11 months ago

I thought the same going in to map 1 but it lowkey turned out to be a banger

posted 11 months ago

My main takeaway is that Jamppi’s IGL is alright, I wasn’t sure if he’d be bad or good but that map was decent

Also Lewn is insane

xqc masterclass

Can’t wait to see mini casting, especially with Pansy. I remember him saying he wanted to do (analyst) desk work but casting is really cool to see

Damn
I heard they were interested in moving back to NA a while back, so maybe if they re-enter they could pick up a roster

The league is based in Berlin, I think there should be a German org/team even if they aren’t competitive at first.

Here’s why I don’t think your argument holds up:

None of the Spanish orgs are fielding Spanish rosters for example, maybe if in the future the Spanish scene becomes stronger they’ll pick up talent, it’s the same kind of vision I’d see for a German org in VCT if you get what I mean.

Another example is the French teams, they’re moving to international rosters too. GE and Indian talent… I could go on and on tbh

(This also applies to MENA orgs btw)

posted 11 months ago

I just hope they change around the region balance in 2027 tbh

I want atleast 1 CIS and 1 German team
And a MENA team would be nice, even if they wouldn’t be competitive

posted 11 months ago

Uhh
I guess others have already made it abundantly clear

whats all of this about
(I'm curious, but not enough to watch everything and catch up, would you mind giving me a tldlr)

posted 11 months ago

Yeah, to be fair I only considered the logistical (specifically the visa) side of the argument, funding definitely has a big role in it too. The best we can do is stay optimistic as you said, but seeing something like this does give me a glimmer of hope

posted 11 months ago

I kind of touched on this in #1, but it should be pretty reasonable if it's within the US right?
The teams would already have work visas within the US due to the IL, so in theory if they hosted it elsewhere domestically it should all work out right?

(ofc this doesn't address the whole latam/br thing, I just wanted to bring it up separately)

posted 11 months ago

uhh

posted 11 months ago

As much as I'd like to see this it sounds like a logistical nightmare due to visas

(CN can and has done it, since it's all domestic. Maybe EMEA (Within the EU) and AMER (Within the US) could do it)

posted 11 months ago

W I really like this.

Shanghai, Seoul, LA and Berlin + 3 may seem like a lot on paper, but since 4 of those are fixed it leaves me with the feeling of wanting more cities (Personally, one of the coolest things about something like F1 is the fact that you get to see a ton of cities/countries, and it really gives an 'international' feeling to the sport)

I hope it goes well, would love to see similar implemented in Americas and EMEA (I believe CN has already done something similar)
Now that I think about it, CN did it for all of playoffs, and that's technically possible within Americas (If it's in the USA) and EMEA (If it's in the EU).

posted 11 months ago

hell yeah
I love that

I hope it goes well, I want all regions to do this (I believe CN has already for the entirety of playoffs)
