my only hot take is that prx might not make it. DRX are gonna improve super fast while their rookies improve and T1 is already dangerous af

(I know some people still assmad about the standing up idrc)

  • Grind since beta coming from Overwatch
  • Go to Japan to join Crazy Racoon
  • Learn how to IGL in a different language
  • Get fucking owned at LAN
  • Go to NA to compete again speaking a different language
  • Come back to Korea and do ok
  • Get cut because the team disagrees with your vision
  • Join a totally rebuilt roster with a ranked player and a guy whose last LAN was 3 years ago
  • Stomp entire region
  • Get 2nd at first international LAN together, instantly getting the best result for a Korean team EVER

this guy has evolved so much since the og days, literally insane. i used to think his IGLing was mid af but he completely proved me wrong

I was happy with either team winning tbh, but it was really great to see Zellsis step it up at the end and take them across the finish line. Something about it felt right.

I feel like people lost perspective regarding GENG now that they got so far, when this is legit a team of misfits. SEN are a championship team that put together some of the best players in Americas. GENG was a bunch of players nobody considered too highly (besides texture) and it's so insane that they even got this far. So happy for them even tho winning would have been even sweeter. If they got this far on their first event together other teams should be scared of their future

VLR forum users should be able to put up their yearly salary with proof so we can earnings check each other

posted 7 months ago

nah, they showed insane fundamentals. none of their gameplay was fluked or lucky, they just played good ass valorant
they'll be able to match anyone that shows up at shanghai

posted 7 months ago

in this case GEN are just such a new team that going undefeated hurt them, they weren't psychologically prepared for the pressure of a tight match

no, people here talk about "apac choke" "apac curse" but GENG (LoL) are ACTUALLY chokers
what we see in valorant is NOTHING compared to them there

if the last map was closer it would probably be my favorite series OAT

it's like a fat dude making fun of someone's appearance man, like there's nothing else to say

posted 7 months ago

we don't know his impact outside of the game, you could replace him with someone who gets 5 more kills every map guaranteed and the team can become much worse because of intangibles

geng look world class, why change what isn't broken. if they went out in swiss stage i would understand lol

posted 7 months ago

nothing pisses me off more than loser ass fans that keep parroting "curse this choke that" like leave that to the actual haters lol

anyone that has eyes can see how insane geng are, they came from nothing and already reached this far. they will do well this year

self hating fans are more cringe than the worst haters my god go have sex or something

nah i hate this pacific curse pacific choke shit respect the teams, they rebuilt their team from nothing and made it to grands undefeated

crazy team, literally came from nothing, set up to win this year for sure

Sentinels shit stomp 13-0 Zekken drop 50

  1. i think it's cool that they added a nb character to valorant
  2. i don't really think it matters how you refer to them in game
  3. any discourse about this is cringe
  4. being weird about this is mega cringe
posted 7 months ago

i love international events man

posted 7 months ago

that's not enough tbh, getting to grand finals undefeated deserves a valid bonus because technically every other team had two chances. if u go to grands from uppers then lose it's like you only had one chance

posted 7 months ago

bro that ult looks insane wat, if it works the way i'm assuming it's consistent high value

smokes deployed same way as brim ipad

1 projectile with effect i couldn't really make out, maybe silence or stun

ultimate seems to be always active once you have it, when you die it gives you a brief moment to decide if you want to self res, if you do it consumes orbs

c ability not shown but it looked like it activated on kill similar to reyna soul orb

posted 7 months ago

well the difference is that it looked like they solved split in terms of protocols and retakes that looked unstoppable

for lotus they just have an excellent understanding of the rotations and timings, and that's literally the most important aspect of the map

posted 7 months ago

bro texture be using that shit even on breeze and hes fucking people up with it

the data shows that karon clears tenz pretty hard xd

oh i'm not talking about dropping monyet lol. i think once they decided to pick him up they should commit to him and see how it works out

i'm talking about making deeper changes before they decided on him, like replacing more than just jinggg

posted 7 months ago

having followed these geng players since forever it's crazy that people are this scared of them now xd their growth is absurd

posted 7 months ago

drx made changes even though they were consistently a top 5 team itw

obviously it's too late for any drastic swaps now but you make a bad argument

posted 7 months ago

geng aren't banning lotus, solo is headstrong as a mfer and probably has confidence that they can win it if they play it again

and tbf it would've been way closer if not for sen's back to back 1v2s so it's not that crazy

posted 7 months ago

geng don't have a duo they have a trio bro karon meteor texture can all hard carry

the trade off is they have guaranteed bot frag lakia but still lol

posted 7 months ago

sen win = crazy tenz resurgence story, didn't make it to events for three years, finally gets there and wins it. from the top of the world to the bottom back to the top
gen win = putting apac on the board, ragtag team of misfits that were always a step below drx comes out of nowhere and stomps everyone undefeated

i just hope its not a stomp either way

posted 7 months ago

hey if other teams just played better, prx would go out in groups every event. but they don't

posted 7 months ago

they got confident in their protocols, once it started getting exploited they didn't have a solution

true true his awp isn't top tier

posted 7 months ago

i was mainly just shocked at how bad his jett stats were bc when i watch zekken i'm pretty impressed generally

in retrospect idk if its kaplan's system or whatever but zekken feels way less proactive on defense than texture and i think part of that is discomfort on jett. he doesn't go for nearly as many risks. texture meanwhile plays raze as if its the same agent as jett, always out wide on angles using the satchels to escape, etc

posted 7 months ago

https://imgur.com/Gl7nwOM

these are the only two dedi duelists (play both jett and raze) left

any thoughts on these stats, it includes kickoff + madrid

posted 7 months ago

was a cracked duelist in korean t2 that got picked up by chinese team Rare Atom. played insane, got 2nd in ascension and now in CN franchising still playing great but his team kinda sucks

posted 7 months ago

sounds like a good thing, your second or third favorite team is guaranteed in grand finals

posted 7 months ago

bro, getting practice on at an actual high stakes event on stage is much more useful than scrimming for a few weeks at home with random t2 teams lol

like LOUD got hella exploited and that's good for them in the long run, i imagine if they never went to madrid they might just keep winning scrims and thinking things are fine

posted 7 months ago

i think sen should fare a little better against geng in a rematch (assuming they're not piss tired or whatever) because they kept getting caught out by microplays that geng individuals were doing. they weren't really "strats" but just timings and aggressiveness they clearly weren't ready for

posted 7 months ago

i've watched tarik since the rank s days, and i can tell you that his watchparties are pretty ass lmao

i realized that he just turns his brain off when he does it and just repeats the same few phrases with some variation. the other guys in the call like s0m or fns sometimes do that but generally they react to what's going on and talk about it (prob bc they played pro recently)

i don't hate the guy for it, get the bag, its just not interesting
