Top signed teams during this qualifier and how they've looked so far in alphabetical order (including eliminated teams)
100Thieves - looking really strong and adaptive and are improving every match, but still a lot of shakiness as a team at times; Asuna isn't having as much fragging impact as fans would like but is to be expected considering the role difference.
Akrew - looking strong but are bad at dealing with relentless aggression; very balanced team otherwise.
Complexity - super inconsistent but very adaptive and flexible playstyle; Governor and truo seem to be really consistent right now.
Cloud9 White - promising signs but seems like they're chokers; meL performing insanely well on the Chamber.
DarkZero - good performances but very obvious that they struggle against better opposition; Trick is struggling a lot individually.
Evil Geniuses - very inconsistent; jawgemo is shining on his new role as a duelist and Boostio is shining on Chamber but seems to be struggling immensely outside of Chamber.
Knights - they perform as expected; Frosty is a hard anchor right now and definitely needs to step up if they want to be able to contest at a higher level.
Gen.G - a good team but it feels like for them to beat a top team, they can only do it off individual skill; Shawn needs to do a lot better on an individual level.
Ghost - looking okay but underperforming; they did get literally robbed so it's fair.
NYFU - looking solid but definitely struggling to win series cleanly; JSUNG and neptune are underperforming and need to step up.
Sentinels - underperforming massively and compared to other teams, they have little teamwork and adaptability; Shahzam used to be a solid fragger in the team but has had nowhere near the same level of impact recently. SicK's playstyle as a controller is a lot worse than zombs, especially when it comes to util and conversation of it. TenZ is performing a lot better in this qualifier than the previous. Kanpeki is doing well as a new pickup but unfortunately is whiffing a lot. dapr isn't performing badly but still needs to get better, he used to pull rounds out of nowhere but it doesn't seem like he has the ability to consistently do that right now.
SoaR - looking solid and unique in tactics but haven't seen them against enough good teams.
Soniqs - they look very strong against weaker teams but look very bad against stronger teams, they seem to rely heavily on anti-stratting; shonk and runi have been underwhelming but runi has stepped it up recently a lot.
T1 - this team needs a complete revamp, including steel even though he has shown success in the past as an IGL; it's clear that the T1 playbook is extremely limited and exploitable on top of roles not making any sense + what they're trying to do isn't backed up by results.
Version1 - massively underperforming; Zellsis and Zander underperforming but understandable considering all the things happening to V1 internally (Zellsis leaving soon, wippie visa issues and practice issues that came along with it, effys turning 40 soon).
Zero MarksMen Black - looking pretty strong but unfortunately very inconsistent.
Additional notes:
- Sentinels have one of the easiest runs this qualifier so it'll be an even bigger disappointment to the fans if they fail to qualify.
- Players playing Brimstone/Breach/Omen seem to have deflated statistics when playing those roles (meaning there is a positional disadvantage just by playing the agent)
- Players playing Chamber/Jett seem to have overly-inflated statistics (average 1.3K/D) when playing those roles (meaning there is a positional advantage just by playing the agent)
