That's pro player mindset should have been. S1mple Faker Fallen etc have huge following, they can stop being a pros and become full time content creations like Tarik and still earn x10 more money but they choose to keep practicing/competing. In fact, being a pro in a popular team like SEN help his streaming career so much
If I remember correctly his stream blowing up had more to do with Sinatraa leaving for 2 months and all his viewers had to find someone else to watch. That's really when his viewers started to blow up and after Iceland of course. Before Sinatraa he had maybe 1k and after he had like 10k+. Now he's at like 5-7k a stream and Sinatraa has close to like 10-18k at times.
why is the bro saying this as if he is speacial , there is literallly a guy in his team who can make 10x the money he can through streaming but is choosing not to
and not to mention guys like Hiko , Subroza , Asuna , even ScreaM - they can easily make more money than Shahzam if they continue full time streaming but they didnt cause they loved competing
This is such a lame excuse cause he knows they will lose the opens and he needs to play the victim
The thing i hate about is take is how he fails to recognize his streaming numbers correlate 1:1 with their teams performance. Dude boosted his stream from 2k to ~15k after winning first international masters and the next tourney he plays in he cant stop bitching about the event's "small" pricepool. dude, if not for the tourneys your stream wouldn't be nearly as big as it is. stop acting like it's a trade profitable only for riot
His mindset is just awful. Of course its just human to think about money.
But on the other hand, your job is to be professional player and furthermore to be an igl.
You should care about your fans, about the org and your teammates.
If you just interested in to make money, than retire!!!
He should retire months ago with this mindset.
Its just sad to see, that he dont care about the sentinels fans.
Yes, exactly the whole roster is at fault, which is why we are complaining because shahz is part of the roster. And do you really think that if Shahzam said "Hey guys I think we should practice more" the rest of the team would say no? He's the veteran presence in the team and the IGL, as the leader he should hold the most blame. Since Sentinels don't have a coach, he's most likely the one who sets the practice times and schedule bro.
Did you read the part where I said Shahzam is the one who comes up with the practice schedules and is the leader of the team, which is why everybody blames him? I think the reasons I said make it pretty obvious why people mainly blame him, he is the main person at fault. Just like how if a company gets into a scandal, whoever is in charge gets blamed not really the people who work with him even though they share the blame.
Don't blame shahzam. Blame sentinels for being the most stupid org to let this guys act like they own the org and the org works for them not otherwise.
Any other org would have dropped this guys and told them to have good luck with their streaming and mouse grip-taster careers
Also imagine dropping zombs and hiring a washed player that should do what? Play Neon for Champions Slot?
It's easy for us to say that we would drop them because I think everybody at this point would drop this Sentinels roster because it doesn't seem like they have the dedication. But I get it from an orgs perspective, Sentinels have put so much money into this roster and the players they have on it are such big names in the scene that even if they are losing they are more likely to make a profit off keeping these players and losing, rather than dropping the roster and picking up a new one that can actually win.
I'm not a sentinel fan so I don't care..
But logically.. The views he got are due to the fans.. The money he've got from stream.. Are due to the fans as well.. If he doesn't care about what the fans want from him.. Which is winning.. He will soon lose both his stream and his pro career..
He doesn't have a funny or unique or loved personality that other content creators have.. It's the opposite.. Instead People watch him because he was winning.. If he stopped doing that.. I'm pretty sure.. That no one will care about or watch looser retired shazam as a content creator..
