International APAC rosters

When CS GO first started out, we mainly saw national teams in EU, over time majority of rosters went international. Do you guys think we see the same thing in APAC valorant? We only have regional rosters as of now with PRX and bleed being the exceptions.

It's difficult due to the regional qualifiers' roster requirements. I think it's definitely possible with investment, though.

Riot could change the rules no? If EMEA get to have international rosters so should APAC as its composed of lots of different countries

I think APAC may become similar to EMEA, and the regional qualifiers will change to VRLs with a similar format to that of EMEA.

If that happens, the rule will likely be dropped.

that would be best for the scene honestly. Every country in APAC seems to have 2-3 good teams max, rest are kinda trash. When you mix and match these teams, we could get some really good rosters (PRX prime example). Plus afaik most of APAC can speak english to a certain degree so comms shouldn't be big issue

prx just perfect for it, but for gameplay alone i'd say sScary and foxz/PTC could be insane to have in prx, but i dunno about the internal tho, would not be the same

Honestly, I prefer it if there were Regional Leagues in SEA, it's going to be for T2 below. Each subregional Challengers are already an upgraded 'Regional League' on its own.

I think you missed quite a lot of stuff. PRX and BLEED aren't the only international roster that is or had existed in the past for APAC. For example, Alter Ego has a Malaysian playing for them, 3nable. Same with Morph Impact, hzm (since moved back to MY/SG). In the Philippines, Nigma Galaxy has Crazyguy and ZeesbeW as part of their roster. In Vietnam, Team OK has a Thai and a Filipino part of the roster. In Thailand, Attack All Around has a Finn playing. I do believe at some point, more cross-country rosters will pop up one way or another in APAC (SEA in particular), but with the regional roster limits 3 members having from the home region, for now, it'll be more beneficial for them to stick to a single region roster. PRX's roster is the way it is because it transferred over from CS:GO where both f0rsakeN and mindfreak were a part of it. BLEED has a lot of money.

In Dota 2 the SEA scene has a lot fo crossover between the philippines, indonesia, singapore and malaysia, i think that valorant can also head in that direction no problem, also dont underestimate Moingolia, its a country with a strong CS tradition and if some of their good players start switching to valorant we may see even more good players in APAC

geographically not APAC but i imagine they would play on APAC teams(unless riot makes a Central Asian region that includes Korea/China/Mongolia/Vietnam/Pakistan) and theres some history of mongolian/APAC lineups(Erkast in renegades who competed in Asia qualifiers for a lot of time, NKT and theres probably more)
