This was the worse emea teams attended, if next masters Gambit, Acend, Fnatic (with derke and braveaf), Guild(maybe), FPX doesn't make it, i feel like EMEA won't win again.
Tbh if fnatic didn't attend the tournament it would be better for them. It is not like you will come and win everything with 2 stand-ins.
Don't want to shit talk about Team Liquid but they are always missing somethings. For me they definitely need roster changes.
I wonder how is G2's tactical book, they can't do anything on Attack side most of the maps. Feel like they have good players like if you count every player they are above some level but they couldn't become a team and without set plays on attack side you won't win anything. Hope they stick together and work a lot more. At the end they also not deserve to be in Masters. I feel like Guild would have done better.
I am glad we saw other regions are also competitive otherwise there is no point of giving slots to other regions because they are shit. Like you can give 5 slots each to NA and EU and give only 1 slot to other regions (considering only NA and EU won LAN events.)
Fnatic beat them with derke and braveaf and it was very close series, M3C lost the game by 0.01 seconds or something.
G2 also beat M3C but i think they couldn't play good enough at LAN. They deserved losing. This masters didn't end but i already started thinking about the next one. The scene is growing and I am always grateful with other regions being stronger. I am Acend fan because of cNed, i was always supporting them but if they can't make it to LAN's i don't support any region. I hope the best team may win
Obviously that's making a big impact on players from teams like M3C, Fnatic, FPX, etc. No one's arguing with that, and I'd say the vast majority of people understand how horrifying and awful it is. That being said, G2 (2nd seeded EMEA team even accounting for FPX) as a team had nothing different from playoffs, and they had no reason to underperform. Despite that they got 2-0'd by two "minor" region teams. That pretty conclusively shows that EMEA isn't head and shoulders above the other regions, and I'd say that's a good thing because it allows more diversity with teams and more exciting play.
I'm personally very excited to see M3C and FPX return in the next masters, but I also appreciate that they'll have close competition.
