"Upset"

There is no upset anymore, last year you could say that a team from a minor region beat NA or EMEA in the beginning or middle of 2021 was upset but not in 2022. All regions are evolving (JP is still evolving very slowly) and the gap is decreasing, a year ago Fnatic playing with 2 subs would still beat any team from BR, KR, LATAM or APAC, but today if any team underestimates and does not prepare for any specific region they will have a very difficult time. It's time to review what minors regions are and the only truly Major region is EMEA (but that doesn't mean they are too far above the other regions)

ikr it was so annoying when the casters yesterday kept saying xia is the underdog, optic got upset etc when they have beaten optic before like ???
going into that match they are on equal footing my dude

very true, i think we really saw at champions that it comes down to the players not the regions anymore. a favourite team isnt always gonna beat the "underdog" anymore, no need to call anything an upset anymore
