A native of the Ukranian scene, Johnta was commonly seen in Ukranian 1.6 mixes such as HellRaisers and DTS Gaming, occasionally alongside now-teammate Kyrylo " ANGE1 " Karasov.
After retiring as a player in the early 2010s, Johnta returned to competition with the release of CS:GO, taking on the mantle of coaching. He would be reunited once again with ANGE1 on HellRaisers, attending two Major Championships with the organization over the course of nearly three years. Johnta departed HellRaisers in late 2018, coaching for various teams such as TYLOO and CR4ZY.
In a post on social media, Johnta stated that his decision to move to Valorant was not immediate. Rather, his interest in Valorant began to build as he "began to [immerse himself] in the game more and more," with the game eventually overshadowing his interest in CS:GO.
FunPlus Phoenix have been set as one of the eight teams competing in First Strike: Europe's main event. The team will be taking on nolpenki in their quarter-final opener on December 4.
