Why do people sleep on OpTic(envy) so much?

I've been following valorant esports ever since masters Reykjavik 2021 and for all this time there's not been a single NA team that has been discredited more than Optic ... probably version1 too but they have gotten their fair share of respect and attention in recent times, optic still remains the team which eehh might be good but no one really wants to support them like people do for the guard or sentinels , is this because their content team is bad or any other reasons ? i personally thought except yay they didn't really have someone who had an amazing personal story which sometimes makes people wanna support a team , like look at guard , they have an amazing underdog story! What do you guys think?

I think people overall respect them enough but the focus has been always on either Sentinels performance (more popular team) or The Guard's rookie story. If you ask anybody their opinion on OpTic going to iceland it'd be something like "yeah, makes sense. they're good" But if you ask them about the guard qualifying or Sentinels going out so early they could write you a whole essay

They aren't popular compared to other top teams. Even the guard has more followers than them and they just became a team like 5 months ago.

Because they are boringly consistent. Yay is the perfect example. Insane player, problably the best in NA, without any of the shiny personality or extreme hype. Really turned them from a top 4 to top 2 team in NA
