Chronicle, nAts, ScreaM, Derke, Cned. I didn't include players from other regions because EMEA is loaded with talented players that are above anything NA or KR can offer. Derke is probably the least good out of all these guys I've listed but he is still far better than any NA player imo. ScreaM has the best aim no argument needed but a complete player should be able to perform equally well on multiple agents consistently. Althought ScreaM has picked up Skye and KayO I don't believe he has the same impact. Chronicle and nAts is enough said but I do believe Chronicle is the better and probably could make the case he is the best if Cned wasn't born. After watching all of them in Masters and Champs I have to go with Cned. Complete player with great aim and often carries Acend which is why "Cned and friends" is a meme.

TLDR: Currently performance wise Cned is above everyone but ScreaM is undoubtedly the best once he fully learns Skye and KayO.

Edit 1: Been 2 months since this post. I truly believe Derke is it man, what a player and chad.

Derke had the best performance at champions last year.
It is hard to say who will be best in 2022 until masters but if you are talking last year, it is stupid to not include other regions such as NA, Brazil, Korea, etc...
Sacy, Leaf, and Heat all had standout performances albeit with lower rounds played. Keznit however had similar rounds played, but with better acs and similar other statistics to Cned, Chronicle, nAts...

Ignoring players just because they are from other regions shows your bias and puts you in an echo chamber.

Nats and Scream are miles better than Leaf or Yay. Scream is adapting to role changes and Nats is arguably the best controller in the world with Masters 3 MVP.

Leaf has been playing controllers like viper on certain maps recently and Yay has been playing a lot of Chamber. They are also very adaptable and both put up great stats at Champions. I don't think you have any basis to stand on saying any other these players are "miles" ahead of each other beyond your own bias. At least wait until they go head to head at an international LAN or watch all the matches from each reason before making such reaching statements.

I've seen Leaf all the way from CSGO when he debuted to playing with Vanity and Steel against Brazilian teams and being called for cheating with wall hack in the match. He is a good player but not close to any of the current EMEA players. As for Yay he got diffed by Patiphan who switched to Overwatch after Champs as a part time Jett player.

Yay hasn’t performed like he did at Masters Berlin this season, but that was SUCH a high peak it can’t be ignored. He was literally single handedly winning rounds for his team against nAts on the best form of his life + Sheydos popping off PLUS gambits massive tactical and coordination advantage. It was insane.

disagree. I would rather have Jinggg over f0rsaken. I've seen them play and I've watched their streams. I actually believe that f0rsaken relies on Jinggg a lot to set up plays, whereas Jinggg is better at self sustaining and making smart decisions, and frags out equal to or above f0rsaken despite having less resources funneled into him. I also think Jinggg is the backbone of their fragging style. I would hold him at a higher value than f0rsaken. Not by much, but definitely a higher value.

it does look like that, you can also tell from their team composition / experiments during the MY/SG tournament, Jing while mainly on duelist, F0rsaken has been trialing / playing alot, and i meant alot of agents ,a total of 7 combined, with most of them being set-ups or ofcourse the recent jett -> chamber change in playstyle. Jing is still mostly on the duelist role as explained by the team in an interview, letting jing and f0rsaken go wild, though it seems like its more on Jing recently. Seems like they will still let f0rsaken entry and play the disruptive / setup role, while letting jing be 2nd entry and the main fragger/rifler of the team.
