Academy teams

Why are they a thing? Doesn't it hinder the progress of orgs by forcing effort into two individual teams rather than one singular strong team that can perform well?

Edit: from a business perspective ig it works well, I just never recognized them being sold onto other orgs

No? The academy team helps them grow and/or sell talent

If your player grows into T1 pro you can just transfer them. No buyout, easy 5th player. If not, no worries! Just sell to new team.

if the players prove to be good they can either move them to main roster
ooooor get money by selling them to orgs that will take em

sometimes a cracked academy player can get transferred to main roster (i think they could send some ppl from zmm silver to the main roster)
