Soniqs Roster Changes 2021-2022

Soniqs have been a top t2 team since their move to NA almost a year ago (Article). Since the core's conception as Exo-Clan as part of the oceania region in June of 2020, have made only minor changes in the past few months, here's a little post about them.

1. pl1xx steps down

Their first roster change occured when pl1xx stepped down on 09-30-21.
The same day it was announced that JSUNG (who had been playing as a stand-in) was joining the starting 5.

2. dizzyLife benched

On Dec. 31 George Geddes tweeted that according to sources both Iyen and dizzyLife were set to be benched from the Soniqs 5. (Tweet)
Then on 01-26-22 the day before VCT, Soniqs formally announced the departure of dizzyLife, they also announced minature would be ttrialing anf playing VCT with the squad. Soniqs failed to qualify for the group stage by a two-round margin loss (11-13) to LG in the final round. Since, the loss it is unlikely but unknown whether miniature would continue playing with the squad, EDIT: Miniature says he isn't continuing with Soniqs (Source)

3. Iyen + Crunchy have been removed (Speculation)
   Today (03-07) George Geddes announced that both Iyen and Crunchy have been removed from the starting roster (Tweet). This change would leave only JSUNG and Bob on the roster. (Although this is technically still speculation, GEORGE GEDDES DON'T MISS)

What do you think about this new change, What does it mean for the roster?

Personally I hope they don't just dump the roster and at least keep JSUNG and Bob, especially since they are the only good mixed roster in NA right now and it would be a shame because if Bob couldn't join a mixed team, the female scene is hard to get into and get to the top of. This also brings up visa issues, how long is there visa set for etc.
They are also going to find an igl for the team as Iyen was there igl, maybe they could get c0m?

BoomTV Proving Grounds
Soniqs were part of 15 teams invited to the BoomTV Proving Grounds on March 14th (BoomTV Thread)
It will be interesting to see what the Soniqs 5 will be. Will Crunchy and Iyen play? If so who might their fifth be? Otherwise, will it be a new 5 or 3?

miniature would be a very good addition for SQ,
He played really well during the qualifiers and the team was so close to making it to the group stage

Honestly i really liked the new sq roster. I thought some of the comps were interesting but they worked really well with the teams play style. I dont know if they are going in the right direction with the roster changes though because I feel like iyen and crunchy have been extremely vital to their success. Also mini brought a lot to the table during qualifiers. I think they do need to make changes if they want to make it to the main challengers stage but these changes dont seem right to me, however I also dont know what I would change to help the team out.

KCP, BBG, Radiance, and now maybe even Soniqs. What's next, Akrew?
