Riot to Follow Suit?

BLAST Premier just banned all of the Russian teams from competing in future tournaments for the foreseeable future.
Originally I thought Riot and CS were safe from these sorts of bans, but do we think that Riot will follow suit?

Interesting, I know technically CS didn't announce this and this was Blast Premier. I wonder if it'll affect ESL though

Tencent owns Riot entirely. Also China is very business oriented and recognize how PR can affect companies so we'll see. It could honestly go either way.

esport and sport dosnt need to be a part of politics but we all know USA will force riot to do the same. idk why in sports they banned them . what actually happens has nothing to do with citizens even them . they dont want this war and whats going on in ukraine because after all its gouvernement's fault. they will fcked up so many people's career and dreams but it is what it is ; its the consequence of what the gouvernement decided to do. overall i feel bad for gambit bois and fpx

The US has nothing to do with the sports cancelling Russia out of competitions. Obviously it sucks for the players, but these are the decisions of the leagues. As for politics and business, there is a social responsibility that comes with being on a pedestal, and they feel they're doing the right thing.

There is literally a law in the United States that criminalizes any commercial entity from trying to boycott Israel. The democracy and freedom that the US talks so much about only exists for those they favor.

I don't disagree, but I believe it's NATO not the US. Also I believe the Iraq situation was more complex, while Russia wants to take over.

even tho people needs to show some supports towards them they are humans like us why the fck are we letting people get killed while we can help them. like whats going with ukrainee it has nothing to do with nato or usa it was and still a conflit between russia and ukraine from 2014 even tho people are supporting them so why dont we do the same with iraq and palestine?

The only effect Riot did to esports in the case of the invasion was moving the matches a week ahead for both the CIS and Europe region. I don’t believe that they will take a further step into cancelling or banning CIS teams.
