Mixwell has been one of the most successful European players in VALORANT's early days, winning a number of tournaments with his Prodigy squad and winning one of the European brackets of the Twitch Rivals Launch Showdown.

This is not Mixwell's first stint with the G2 organization. He was a temporary member of their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in early 2018 following a nearly two year long run with OpTic Gaming.

While this is G2's first player signing in VALORANT, this isn't their first appearance in the emerging esport. They previously held two closed beta tournaments in which teams were mostly divided by nationality and will next host an invitational where eight team captains will play alongside mystery teammates. Mixwell participated in the two closed beta tournaments.
