Just me that feels bad for the g2 guys?

I feel like they get way too much unwarranted hate. I get people think they are boring, but then you have players like verno who has 15 deaths across a series because as soon as the bomb is planted he also plays post plant and he gets glazed.
I genuinely think it’s because they don’t stream so they arent popular comparative to the people they are beating.
Genuinely crazy how much people seem to specifically hate the players.

Verno should get glazed because he’s playing the win condition properly, and g2 should also get credit. I think it’s cool to see a team that relies more on teamwork and utility than just fragging.

well, if people call trent tejo abuser, people should keep the same standards for verno.
verno doesnt hold a candle to what trent is currently.

i don’t agree with them but i think it’s because g2s gameplan on attack was leaning towards post plant and letting trent play for the clutch

This what I don’t get. How could playing the game properly warrant hate? If Johnqt or brawk or verno or riens or nobody does it it’s smart and disciplined but it’s cringe if Trent does.

cuz s0n fans are mad that they are getting outplayed. most s0n fans also dont support nrg but support verno so thats why they glaze him but not trent

which is fine, honestly i would prefer they way trent plays his life rather than verno, because you really can see verno playing very passive as soon as they have a man disadvantage. he will never take risks alone, trent will.
also trent is just a better player. but people do love some public narrative story and hate nrg.

I agree, trent is the best not only tejo player but Initiators in vct. I don't think g2 should get hate for just playing better than every team they face but, if we are talking about verno he was the senti player nrg because fns didn't want to play the role he's known for just to get verno dropped and then swap back to senti and fns and nrg got to watch verno be one of the the best initiators in vct even if he's playing post. He's aim is good, according to all members of mibr his comms are good, and he knows how to play his role right. Even tho, I'm a dead hard sen fan, trent is THE best initiator player and g2, even tho they had a slip up with sen they are gonna come back.

I don't see a world or timeline where g2 loses to 100T, EG/KRU and then MIBR/SEN (again). this G2 roster is TOO good at this meta, hell even if tejo wasn't in the game their prep looks perfect. I hope to see them in masters Toronto and Champions Paris.

Also irks me people get mad at leaf for an example for trash talking when zellsis and narrate trash talk as well. Trash talk is a good thing, but people seem to only like when certain people do it.

Yeah I want more trash talk to happen, champs 2023 was super entertaining because of it.
Just annoys me that the fans get pissed off and hate players when all of the players are bantering as friends. Chronically online people.

This is why I think it’s just because the players aren’t big streamers.
If sen or nrg play like this they will glazed to hell for being smart and disciplined because there are big/popular streamers on both teams.

I think people are annoyed just because they are too good, so they fall back on hating them. To be fair this years' G2 is more flashier, they take more individual risks and fights, its only tejo stuff people hate.

Yeah it’s a bit crazy how visceral the hate is towards the specific players rather than just banter between fanbases, that what caught me off guard
I see threads talking about g2 players are ugly and how people hate them so much and t1 beating the “valorant terrorists” and shit

i honestly love G2. i liked them since the guard was playing qualifiers. i am very happy with this line. they are gentle but they have personality. i don't find them boring at all
