Do you have a timestamp, since they're in Thailand my guess would be a Thai inhaler. It's like a natural herby, peppermint inhaler that really clears your airways and is addictive. Every Thai person will carry one around and it helps with nausea and dizziness + on stage might help with concentration/taking your mind off a lost round etc.
