Why do some Silvers think they deserve Ascendant?

I keep seeing videos about Silvers thinking they deserve Ascendant. Most Ascendant should be able to get to Diamond with no problem and if you're stuck in silver. You probably deserve silver. I can see someone getting stuck in Plat though who deserves Ascendant, that elo is like hit or miss.

i'm a silver after reset (peak gold) and i've played against ascendants in 10-mans, scrims, etc and can consistently get between 0.8 and 1.0 kd

that being said i don't think i deserve asc but a lot of those silvers are peak gold 3

gold 3 players are actually insane, whatever they do just works and they have the aim to do it

gold 3 > plat imo, the golds are so much more unpredictable and that makes them strong

Bro first of all gold 3 and plat is like the same, and if plat is higher that means their better. Saying a lower rank is better than a higher rank makes no sense.

the playstyle is so much different between the ranks, gold 3's playstyle has a better chance against asc than plat playstyle

nah this is factual, the biggest gap in actual gameplay Ive saw during my ranked grind was imortal3 to top 250 under radiant matches

i feel like why gold players being better than plat is such a big image and feels that way is that a large portion of smurfs are in silver-gold elo, and naturally the players in that elo have to match their aim to those smurfs. in plat there’s not many smurfs, and everyone is on equal level. all in all plat players are better but smurfing in gold could feel harder than plat

I actually think plat and Dia is where it gets annoying. This is where a lot of the "casual" immortal and ascendant are usually who plays for fun. This is where I saw the most Immo and Ascendant buddy.

they have a good game and think they can play with ascendants without realizing that in ascendant people dont make that many braindead plays and aim gets insanely better. most of these silvers lack consistency to be honest and are held back by that and an actual developed game sense

used to think like this back in the day because i play 10mans, then i realized im just carried by good utilities and comms / teamwork, put me in solo q and ill just rot on the bottom of the scoreboard because i kept expecting utils / comms then die because of it
