They doesn't deserve to be in this Tournament for the 3rd time now. We have so many Teams around the Globe who would deserve it much more to be here but because of Riot Policy we have to watch also Teams from Regions that doesn't have a good competition and play like they are Tier 2-3. I can see some EU, NA or even Australian Orgs moving to Japan for 2022 to have a better chance to make it to Masters. And this would be not necessary if Riot would design the Qualifiers for Korea, Japan and APAC so that they are considered as 1 Region when it comes to Masters Qualification. In the end we would see the really best Asian Teams representing Asia and would have a few more stronger Teams from NA, EU or Brazil.

Come on man. Having CR in your Group is like having a Free Win for EU, NA Teams and this not Ok in my opinion.

For now. With all of the talent and investment coming into the Japanese scene, it will likely change shortly.

You're right, Riot should throw away 200,000 viewers from japan for "more deserving teams"

Are you saying 200K Japanase People enjoy seeing CR get demolished whenever they play in Masters? What i said doesn't have to be bad for Japan. It can make them step up with better competition. And just curious where are the 200K Vievers right now? 22K watching JP twitch and 80K on Main Stream.

They enjoy being united as a nation supporting their own team. Not too hard to understand

Must feel good to have a Team representing your Country get destroyed whenever they play. It just makes the Group Stage unfair. Like i said one Group has a free win having them in the Group.

Would you not be happy for Iceland if they make a World Cup? Chance is they get destroyed unlike their miracle run in Euro 2016

Same thing happens in BR league of legends. The community if im not wrong is the third with most viewership in the world. We are worse than CR in valorant. We have been trying to get out of group for 10 years already haha. We had our upsets like winning against top 1 EU team in groups, but ending up 1-5 in groups, winning agaisnt top 1 chinese team once and etc across the years.

I think we just like to see our team trying, even if we know that they are going to lose.

I'm not japanese, but it could be the same thing.

Riot's objective is more of 'inclusivity' rather than competition. Maybe it is just what it is. After all, esport is run by money more regions = more viewers = more money

Even if they dont do well, they already have only 1 slot and a lot of people likes to root for them. Brazil was not showing promising results until champions, maybe they just need a little bit more of time.

That doesnt discard other regions to join, maybe 24 team format would serve it well, give a direct spot to turkey, cis, (maybe 2 slots each?) include OCE, CN (they are supposed to be coming soon, right?).

Maybe in short term this would make international tournaments better. However, once you take the bigger picture i feel like giving slots for Japan better. If you gave tournaments slots solely based on their performance, teams from smaller regions wont appear as much in the beggining, leading them to have less tier 1 experience. This actually centralizes the competitive scene on the major regions(EMEA/NA), just like what happens at CS GO. Also, the might not still compete toe to toe with the big regions, but the definetly evolved since Iceland. Lets bear in mind that on masters 2 EMEA and, specially, NA was crazily ahead from others regions, but now its clear that the gap between regions are diminishing. Maybe by next year, due to the experience that Japan had on previous tournaments, can have a more competitive team. BR scene is a good caso of sucess on this

I don't agree, even If they are bad now they still are a developing region that desearves their spot in this game. Give them time and they Will become enterteining and able to compete against Tier 1 Regions, the New Zeta team for exemple looks promising.
