Google bard answer
Thailand and India share a deep historical connection, primarily rooted in cultural exchange through trade, religion (particularly Buddhism), and linguistic influences, with ancient Indian ideas and practices significantly shaping Thai culture, art, architecture, and even the Thai language, which incorporates elements of Sanskrit and Pali; this connection dates back thousands of years, making Thailand one of the most "Indianized" countries in Southeast Asia.

Its a very small connection. Basically it is thought that a Korean princess who married a Korean king way back, came from India, specifically the kingdom of Ayodhya, which is an extremely important kingdom to Hinduism at it is considered the birthplace of Ram, an avatar of Vishnu: one of the “Big 3” of the Hindu pantheon.

Indian here. Pretty much all of SEA has a ton of influence from India due to religion. Specifically the spread of Buddhism through merchants and Hinduism through the spread of various empires such as the Chola dynasty. Since naming conventions are derived from religion for those who practice Hinduism. Many SEA people have names originating from Hinduism, which is why you consider their names to sound Indian.

not exactly, however the influence has caused their naming conventions to be sanskrit related. Similar to how non Christian or Jewish people name their kids Luke, Isaac, Noah, Jacob etc, it comes down to the influence from the past
