well basically long story short it's an American holiday that dates back to the 16th century where they celebrated and shared their food and gave thanks to their community it became a tradition to take a day to be thankful for the things you have in life and it evolved over time to be called thanksgiving where you get your family together and have a huge feast and appreciate your time together
