Because Champions 2024 is much better than Champions 2022 and 2021. The 2024 rosters were more talented and competitive than previous years.

There was no superstar this year. For example Karon and Meteor were good as T3xture. Tenz and Sacy were good as Zekken. Chichoo and Smoggy were good as Kangkang. Boo and Woot were good as Riens. Com and Mazino were good as Aspas.

So 2024 Champs is not like "yay owns 2022 Champs or cned owns 2021 Champs" because 2024 Champs is based on playbook, team play, discipline, strats, anti strats. 2024 Champs is the MOST BRAIN USED VALORANT tournament basically.

Maybe EG roster can compete against EDG but EG gameplay is not built for strategy, they mostly won rounds with aim duel. So they can't compete against a team that has a good playbook.

I am talking about if a tournament is considered as good because of a player's insane performance that means the tournament is a fluke.

GENG went 2nd and 1st. EG went 2nd and 1st. FNC went 1st, 1st, and 4th. LOUD went 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. OPTIC went 2nd, 1st, 3rd, 2nd, 4th (without yay/marved). FPX went 1st, 4th, 4th (cned). GMB went 1st and 2nd.
