the real conversation we should be having is how to move to a system where GC is obsolete, where women and marginalised genders can have no issue in playing in regular tier 3 / tier 2

real! make t2 not suck and let it be a ecosystem that functions by giving actual money out for doing well instead of just a machine to make orgs ascend along with allowing gc teams to double dip so they can get money from both gc and t2 making them financially incentivized to play and win
Would be very surprised if if happens in any esport in the next 5 years ngl but it would be great
this is pretty much speculation but:
I think Riot have a limited budget to spend on non tier 1 val (despite tencent being rich af), so I think the money in GC is syphoning riot investment in tier 2.
I think it's the case for orgs too, idk how it's going to play out but I can see there being more teams which decide to have a GC team over an academy team. Also I don't see tier 2 in its current state surviving 5 years, too many orgs are leaving, a complete overhaul is needed imo and whenever that (hopefully) happens, it'd also be a great way to intertwine the new system with GC
If it would happen in any game then it would be Valorant. Hopes aren't high tho
