I think this tool in particular will be useful and it'd be selfish to not like it but I think the progression of translation tools is kind of sad.
In general the progression of translation tools will continue to further decentivize learning a language. There's already little incentive to learn it today, the tools are already progressing rapidly, but on top of that there's many others who've likely learnt the language and translated the content to English already.
I think learning a new language is fun and should be something people should be excited to do. I've been studying another language for awhile and have found it quite fun and always wanna recommend it to my friends though it's a bit of a grueling process so none of them have seem too interested.
Even though I think this way, it's unfortunately the reality that I'm in the minority of people willing to learn another language. Many try, much less suceed in achieving fluency. It's already easy to give up, now even easier to not even start.
Oh well, in 100 years everyone will be speaking either English or 中文 anyway lol
