Not as bad as i thought, only 2/3 of these were really his fault. Still played bad in most but it’s harsh to say it was solely his fault
This too but also like Duelist in top level play (unless you’re like, aspas or primmie) often shows really bad stats in stomps/losses when they’re not the only ones at fault. T side duelist is borderline impossible to frag on if you’re being outread and outcalled or if your initiators don’t use their util well
If you are winning as a duelist, you will have amazing stats. If you are losing, you will not. Idk what’s so hard to grasp about this. If you get your entry frag and your calls and util are helping you, you’ll always get good stats by being the one taking the most contacts. If it’s the opposite, you won’t and the people alive last will get more kills.
True, it’s not like the (arguably) best duelist itw isn’t known for having great stats despite his team not performing as well, up until champs at least. Also, attack side is the only side that exist in valorant, so all duelist do is entry for the team. It’s not like there is a whole other defense side of the map where BuZz usually op crutches and still doesn’t do all that well.

A duelists stats are the most reliant on if their team is playing well, so long as that duelist is entrying
I play sentinel mainly and I’ve noticed in valorant that if my team is getting rolled and my teammates are just ass, I will have an easier time finding individual value on sentinel rather than duelist (living vs taking first duels), unless i start baiting as duelist
A good example is th vs Navi ascent 2023. If you watched the game you wouldn’t think keloqz was the worst on his team, or the reason he lost, but his stats were absolutely atrocious, lowest rating in tier 1 ever, but zeek himself said it wasn’t keloqz fault more than others on his team, because he was entry and it’s hard to do anything when ur getting rolled as entry player.
If the map is close it’s different, but if you’re losing 5-13 or worse the duelist is going to have a very hard time getting kills, whereas the sentinel or controller might get empty kills in 1v5s or playing exits
Idek if this applies to buzz or drx because I don’t remember how those maps went, but when ur getting rolled the worst role to be on is duelist, the best is an anchor role like sentinel or some controllers
Now, lemme have a serious discussion since ppl still have this dumbass argument.
First of all, and this should be coming knowledge. losing does not mean your team played bad. So ur right with that atleast
Second, yes it’s true, even if your team is playing bad, duelist would generally have the worse stats, but that only applies to kd and for pro matches, rating. It does not equate to having low acs or adr. In fact, for one of the more aggro duelist like BuZz, having a low adr and acs can literally only mean 2 things. He’s either lost confidence and it not taking as much fights, or he simply isn’t winning his gun fights(whether it’s because he’s taking bad fights, or his aim is going through a drought)
Now, since my whole original point is that BuZz kinda chokes. I have watched literally all of DRX’s games for the last 2 and half years, multiple times, whether it’s reactions or just rewatching vods. It’s not only the fact that he plays worse in big games, he straight up changes his whole playstyle. Even this year, you could watch any regular season match, even one he played bad in, and then compare it to his champs playoff matches, and you will think it’s 2 different players. This is not an arguable thing, he plays worse. If you wanna say im wrong for saying stats isnt the way to prove it, sure, but you can’t say he ain’t a choker
I think we kinda agree, I’m not even talking about buzz and drx anymore cause I don’t like drx and I didn’t watch their elim games so I’m not disagreeing there.
I also think stats aren’t bad to use for this, just that duelists are at a high risk of getting rolled in stats if their team is playing bad. It sounded like u were disagreeing so I yapped abt it
brother you should really be blaming termi and not everyone you know? drx was top class team at the end of 2022 and start of 2023 with top 3 champion and lockin. termi bring foxy9 and then refuse to call timeout in 2023 and then all the roster moves after 2023 champ was their downfall, there's so much buzz can do when drx is failing at management level
