Recently got into the game. Just got to Crumbling Farum Azula, lovin it. Using a moonveil + uchi dual wield rn, but bloodhound's fang carried me early game. What build did you guys use?
my first playthrough was pure dex
bloodhound fang till volcano manor, respec-ed into faith and used blasphemous blade until i beat malenia and i used hand of malenia until the final boss who i killed with double twinblades
then went to the dlc and finished it with hand of malenia and uchignata
i did 3 more new game + on the same save after
Began as a Samurai and then started picking up sorcery until I got Moonveil. That carried me through Rennala but I grew bored of it rather quickly.
I figured the Incantations looked cool so I respec’d for arcane/faith because I wanted to try out the dragon spells. Went double Uchi’s until I picked up a Nagakiba and I’ve been running that with Dragon Communion Seal since. I’m at the Haligtree rn but I haven’t set the Erdtree alight yet since I don’t wanna lose quests I’m in the middle of.
Edit: I’ll also run Star Fists when I need strike or just wanna get messy.
I picked up dual daggers last night and god they’re fun. Bloodhound’s Step/Quickstep and the parrying dagger make critical strikes consistent and you can absolutely shred if you have bleed.
I’ve been looking for builds to move away from the spell crutch and getting in faces is a lot more satisfying — though you die more often. It’s a bit frustrating against large enemies (dragons) but I’ll whip out the Reduvia after a couple tries lmao.
On my first playthrough I started as a pure dex build and picked up Bloodhound's Fang but stopped using it after a few legacy dungeons because it's SO GODDAMN BORING and honestly melts healthbars too fast. So I did a respec into an ice twinblade build until I beat the game.
Started a new playthrough recently so I could get back into the mechanics before going into the dlc I'm doing a strength build using the Zweihander, I've taken a break last couple of days, got frustrated at Maliketh.
