not sure how it works i mean i know a little but its seemed very vague to me can someone explain? (Only curious because i got my first 100% KAST ever in ranked)

what percent of rounds did you either get a kill/assist, survive, or die with a trade frag. basically the assumption is if you do at least one of these things you contributed to the round so the game thinks its good

A=Assist
S=Survive
T=Trade
% = % of rounds in which you did at least one of those things

It's supposed to measure how many rounds you had an impact on.

K and A is pretty explanatory

Surviving just means carrying over next round (so if you didn't get a kill or die, but survived, this would count)
Trading is usually within either a 3s/5s period where a teammate kills the person who recently killed you.

However, KAST% isn't always a good indicator, since it discredits multi-kills/multi-assists, and disfavor duelists while favoring controllers (very easy to exploit smoke assists or assists like brim stims unlike initiators, which take a bit more effort to get an assist)

And obviously you can't really see how much IGLing impact an IGL has, but neither can other stats

KAST% = (# of rounds where the player secures a kill, assist, survives, or is traded)/(total # of rounds) *100%

i got 100% kast as duelist but wasn't really baiting for it, i had most fk
