as I dont watch valorant before 2023 I dont really understand this rule so much

can someone explain like for example is Canadian player an import for USA team? Is Argentinian import for chilean team? is it by country or continent?

They are only considered an import if they come from a different region. Any player from anywhere in North or South America can join any team in the Americas region without being considered an import.

Yes he was not an import, but let's say if Derke went to NRG he would've counted as an import since he is from a different region
