tbh he just wanna qualify easier

in americas he could only make it to one LAN and it was with a kickoff format off a weird comp, too much competition

EMEA is easier, and free. basically 0 competition and you insta qualify to every event. downside is you also play with shitty ass players who are terrible at the game and you probably won't win anything for the next 5 years. but hey, easy qualification at least.
