is it even safe? like ik i sound hella paranoid but can't i get arrested if they find anything illegal with him in the car? (dumb state laws ikr who woulda thought USA had great state laws)

you should be fine because nearly all ubers are safe, but as i said before you are trialed to find out if you had knowledge or control over illegal substances. if you still dont feel comfortable depending on how long you will be staying just rent a car

even if you get trialed you can just show your uber reciept and get out easily, but 99.999999999% of the times your uber driver is just a college kid or a really old guy that are completely innocent

I think you are overthinking the fuck out of this. Anyone doing uber is doing it to survive, they are probably not going to risk losing their job, most of the times uber drivers are uber drivers bc they can't do anything else. Overall yes they are safe, it's usually a foreigner that's 40+ yrs old. U gon be ok

I was just giving it as an example of it being reliable haha, once you set up an account it's all good, most drivers already have a rating and you can change drivers if you find them to be rated too low, u should give it a try

It’s pretty safe imo, really the only issue is that Uber licenses can be easily bought on the black market with a fake identity and all so evil ass people can fake themselves into being an Uber driver for their own intentions. Had someone in the neighborhood take one of those fake Ubers and they never came back home. In my personal experience I think ik which ones to look out for and cancel, I got like 10ish fake drivers I had to dodge in the past 100. Sometimes it’s easy to tell who’s a bullshit kidnapper/robber waiting to pick you up, but I had a few where it was too hard to tell so I just winged it.
