Why did people dislike him so much in the first place?

Copying a popular gimmick of last offseason but had zero ethics and responsibility with vetting his sources.

I can understand real journalist being upset with him but for all the random people getting mad at something that has no impact on their life is comical.

You're acting like people are frothing at the mouth rabidly upset about this guy. 99.9999% of people just saw him as an annoying kid posting shit for attention.

99.9999% of criticism of anyone can be deflected by saying it doesn't impact your life. Doesn't make it any less valid criticism.

But why be annoyed in the first place ? isn't it better to have some dude posting roster moves that are fun to look at and imagine rather than complete silence and no rumors the entire off season.

fr the misinformation literally does not impact anyone getting mad at all so i don't understand why people wasted their time getting upset with a twitter personality

I do, and it's simple really, people don't like to feel they are being lied to. Maybe he wasn't lying and just practicing bad 'journalism' but to most people he was just making things up for interactions.

Are those people 5 or just obnoxious? Whoop de doo, the twitter spreadsheets guy lied about a roster move in a video game.

Pretending to be a journalist and spreading misinformation basically. Maybe he didn't have bad intentions, but no one likes when someone pretends to be knowledgeable on a topic when they clearly aren't.

ig but some out of touch with reality people seem to have taken a twitter account a bit too seriously

oh yeah ofc, making fun of someone on twitter for falling for a brand new 5 follower account as 'reliable info' is one thing, making death threads and doxxing is another.

I meant it shows he was very passionate about valorant and esports in general, obviously it doesn’t excuse the misinformation but he kept going trying to improve but now he has to stop doing it because of death threats. Say what you will but he shouldn’t have to stop for that reason especially if it isn’t that serious

end of the day he definitely seems like he’s just a kid trying his best to get into reporting for vct. shitting on him was funny, but doxxing and death threats on a guy who seems like a highschool kid is fucked up.

kid literally apologized after fucking up the spreadsheet with false rumours and admitted he should’ve verified his sources. going so far as to threaten his privacy is just messed up.
