why do 6 teams start with a bye into the upper quarterfinals while rev, sin prisa , FS and OF start in the lower round .

team strength/ region strength doesnt seem to be the factor as sin prisa and FS come from competent regions

They based it on last years placements for each region so all the regions that made playoffs get a bye

based on team who performed well last years ascension so teams like DSG get a bye while Sin Prisa is in lowers bc DPlus got grouped last year

Based on last ascension's results, if you qualified to playoff you get a bye if you don't then it sucks.

People have been complaining about last year's tournament format, but apparently to make it a full double elimination this is the " fairest" way to do so, so the community is partly to blame here too
