It's the same for every region.... I guess they made it so the prize pool difference cancels out the the points distribution (which it doesn't)but we will see if riot release a statement

It's not the same for NA and BR, in those regions top-2 teams advance to Iceland without receiving any points directly from Challengers Finals, they will earn them later on Masters 2 itself.
Nobody gives a shit about prize pool when there is Champions slot on the line. 60 extra points + 150-400 points from Iceland (most likely 300-400, cuz EU is way stronger than other regions) is everything you need in order to qualify for the biggest tournament of the year. Of course there will be Masters 3, but people say it's going feature more slots for EMEA, so it will be easier for EU teams to qualify than it is right now.

Let's prepare to watch a shitshow final on Sunday as both teams desperately try to lose, or one of them gonna forfeit straight away. Riot fucking EMEA again, stupid single elimination brackets, only 2 slots for 3 enormous regions, no streams for open qualifiers, now this...

I believe they also get points based on final standings in Iceland, and there must be a typo as well.

Yes they do get points in Iceland but the second-place team gets extra points so if both teams would finish in the same place in Iceland the team that lost the final would have an advantage for qualifying to champions

🔴EMEA Playoff Circuit Points has been updated!🔴

First & Second will NOT be receiving points from the Challenger playoffs, the minimum points you can get from attending Iceland is 150, so both teams will be getting at least 150 even if they bomb out of Masters.
