I know previously there haven't been any GC players to really get a shot at getting into T1 play (except maybe meL), but with the abundance of t2 talent and even more limited slots in the upper level of valorant, will there ever be a GC player that plays in franchising?

Play the probability game and eventually you'll get one who's good enough for T1

I think no,

  1. More talent = less slots for GC players. There is simply less players from GC overall, so there is also less % chance that the GC player will be better than others
  2. GC is good thing, but sadly it's too good for the players inside it. What I mean by that is why would you ever as GC player try to play in T2 team, trying to win ascension and all, very often not being payed at all or really low, when you can just play in GC circuit, go to Champs and make a lot of money. For example Flor, she would be probably good T2 player, without any assurance that you ever win, idk if T1 caliber but we wont know as well, because why would she drop being literally the best GC player, payed really well I guess, but for sure the most known

good GC players would prefer to play in the tier 2 circuit

if they didn't want to, then they aren't even the point of this convo

no because theres no incentive really

if ur on a top gc team like sr, yeah u get shit on in open qualifiers by tier 3 unknowns but u still pick up a paycheck and win gc events so who cares
