Idk that's nice I guess)? This way tier 2 won't be at scarce of teams to play the league

I kinda think it's nice too, I just want to see how they will frame it, i'm afraid a team present their GC team as an aca team and get destroyed

I would like that, even if they get destroyed they would learn more than they do playing game changers, maybe it can accelerate the improvement of gc teams. For example here in latam, KRÜ blaze entered external tournaments to play with the local tier 2, they got destroyed early in the year but now they are capable of taking maps and even winning some games against them.

Hmmm I see your point, maybe best thing for long term, but one of my friend is affraid getting destroy in the T2 might just make them loose hope

for sure, in particular teams that already had close to a full roster loaned to another team (Leviathan for example), close to all the players on those acamedies are very young as well, so its prob more worth for them to field a full roster than 4 and 1 in another org
and others orgs that have academies not playing like DRX or T1 will prob try to play in T2

Yeah, I think Korea cant pass that offer, especially with their legacy of "sister roster" in 2022-2023 in LoL

im expecting Leviathan, Zeta, DRX (maybe?), T1, others idk could and prob more than expected will have an academy next year (imo there are leagues where having one is a massive adventage, for example Brazil or Latam that have a lot of unknown talents and not that many T1 orgs, Turkye as well could have numerous academies playing in it (and the korea japan, SEA could also be a very good idea with how dense the talent pool is gonna become)

Naaaah not enough people would be able to listen to it if it was only in french, I made some french video with x10 the quality of what I made here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPDsghb9sgs , and I will have so mush less views

And it's for opening debate on vlr, I definitly cant do that in french

Do orgs have the financials for academy teams anyways?
Can riot throw money at orgs who have academy teams?

Zeta have, they do it like 3 times already and they're looking for next year's iteration

2023 7 players
2024 10 players ( let's consider this 2 times)
2025 ? Players

Dfm just announced making an academy team, and I heard dfm's Financials ain't that great.

So I think t1 orgs can ,even t2 orgs can , there are 5 vcj orgs that are currently having or are in selection process.

hope they find players good enough, there seem to be a lot of insane new talent in japan (Kapi/Fukuken, a lot of new rosters with new players, Hands finally able to play in T2, etc)

yeah, the 16 teams split is gonna be so good for regions with a lot of upcoming talent, should really put the biggest talent on the spotlight (for DFM hope they manage to play next year)

idk if its allowed for 2024, if yes i would expect so yeah (also you said Zeta AC had 7 players in 2023, but i only see Yuran and the 3 on riddles and ig Hiroronn, would are the others ?)

Kaiy and Noa, Kaiy joined noez foxx as a sub only to never let him play once( tbf they lose even qualifiers so nothing kaiy can do😅)

Noa went to play for VITE , impressive stats but ultimately too short of a career to make a conclusion.

But I don't blame people for forgetting who Kaiy and Noa is especially Noa because I had no clue that Noa was part of the academy team until I checked their website🤣.

Aca team arent that expansive and can lead to massive economy on the long term.

You buy a 16YO player, for absolutely nothing, train him for 2 years, pay him a little bit for 2 year, extend contract for a long time : Poof you're not having to fight with other team on the market transfer to buy him. If you play your cards well it's Low risk (Really not expansive), High reward

I come from France in soccer all our city team are bad, but we may be one of the biggest league in world when it comes to formation, some of our club economical model are fully based on formation and selling player to biggest club. Well Val isnt soccer and technically a player bring money to the club they formed all his carrier, so not really comparable, but welll you got the idea
