With Laz most likely retiring and the team in general having an abysmal performance last year, here’s the changes I propose (Side note: I haven’t watched a lot of VCJ and I’m only really somewhat familiar with the popular teams like fennel, scarz, etc. A lot of this is based on performance and ratings)

Keep:

Dep: Obviously insane player. Was the only good player other than laz, and I don’t think anyone would disagree that he shouldn’t go.

Drop:

Literally everyone else: Poor individual performances with little signs of growth from the two newcomers, I see very little reason for them to stay.

Sign:

eKo: Very solid player. I think he was good on geng early in their 2023 season, and is a solid initiator that can also frag.

CLZ: As fennel is disbanding, this would be a huge opportunity to pick up some huge talent.

Allen: Very solid smokes player, mainly picking him bc of 2023 results, and I think that if we plays like he did then that he could be a pretty serious addition.

SyouTa: Another solid ex fennel player. Don’t know much about them specifically but stats and agent pool look solid and they were on fennel

Roster:

Scans: eKo
Flashes/IGL: CLZ
Smokes: Allen
Senti/flex: SyouTa

Get CLZ and Xdll

But VCJ was never ideal with how hard it is for zeta to make roster moves 😂😂

But fr tho, it's about time for clz to join Tier 1 and especially Xdll coz he almost got it 2 years ago in champions

He did, but compared to 2023 the contrast is very visible, sometimes he still hits some crazy shot tho( like Jett ulted an updrafting Jett while updrafting, don't have the clip tho)

Euler for head coach. This guy brought Fennel GC to GC champs b4 (qual to international) and Fennel's top 2 Grand Final in split 2 only just losing to riddle. On his stream, he puts valoplant and minimap analysing over actual game. He can answer english questions on chat too. Guy has done his contribution to JP valo scene and deserve to be in VCT.

SugarZ3ro was also decent, and it was clear that hiroronn was a victim of role issues; the latter is a bit shaky yes but dropping SugarZ3ro is insane
ZETA seems to have little interest in doing a mixed Japanese-Korean roster so eKo is not getting signed lol
Allen was mid during Ascension and was three-way tied for the second-worst player in 2024 Split 1 behind fuckin igzist academy players
SyouTa doesn't even play senti he plays duelist/smokes. As much as I want him to play in franchising you'd have to drop either Dep or SugarZ3ro which is not happening

Not really, there's a lot of talents in VCJ waiting to be picked up by zeta and dfm , which is why I predict that 2025 japan will make a significant progress.

Also they need a good coach and not carlao 😂

They have Okinawa he is best suited at a tier1 team he's insanely good like primmie or something level. If Zeta picks him up they'd be a legit team in Pacific, but of course they cancelled his ass because of doping allegations on Apex before he became a valo pro. Now no one wants to sign his ass even in tier2

NFX did fight for him after the termination to prove his innocence. Maybe they are involved somehow. But Okinawa is not joining a Valorant roster. In a country where mild bming is frowned upon, no player with cheating allegations will be joining a big name team.

Dropping Sugerhero for Allen (just because his performance from almost 2 years ago) is an absolutely insane decision.

Also SyouTa's value as a Duelist is way bigger than his value as a Senti. Dep doesn't even want to play Duelist anymore. You can't just force players into roles where they underperform (Dep is a decent flex and his Jett had a less confident showing this year).

And there are plenty of initiators. eKo is such a weird pick. Disregarding the fact that ZETA wants a full JP roster, there is a great chance that FL might break (even though I don't want that). Xdll would literally be free. Why eko?
