Being the upper bracket seed in a Grand Final gives 2 map bans. However, this has statistically 0 advantage.
4 events have seen the upper bracket seed win, while 4 have seen the lower bracket win.
This shows that the lower bracket fairytale story run is equally as strong as having 2 map bans.

I think it has to do with momentum from winning Lower Bracket. Upper Bracket wins usually just show how good the team was but when a Lower Bracket wins it shows how competitive the tournament was. LOUD, FNC, GEN.G all came from Upper Bracket and Dominated but EG, SEN, OPTIC, showed how competitive the tournament was and even everyone was even if the Grand Final wasn't very even.
