My opinion about G2 jumping

I think it’s good for mental to just end round quickly. It can get pretty tilting just losing against anti eco especially when you’ve already been getting shit on the whole map. Gg go next mentality

i’m worried for them tho, they got 2-0’d by geng in shanghai then got shit on by TH 3-0. i want them to put up a fight tomorrow even if they don’t win the series, however the good thing for them is that fnatic will probably most likely comm like a t3 team so they have a better chance

The jump off on abyss is definitely not optimal. They deny 1000 plant credit and an ult orb but opponents wasted no util or take any dmg to their armor. I think G2 was just really tilted losing pistol and down 9-4.

I can't see this be the meta in the future because team winning pistol can just greedy buy for anti eco and take that into a full buy bonus round.

I can see how it wasn't necessary the most optimal decision to jump right away, and just waiting a little longer would've been better in wasting util. But I can't understand anyway in which it should be considered "disrespectful to the sport" as Lothar tried to put it. Yes it could have been done slightly better like how Fnatic tried, but that doesn't make it an issue.

fnatic was just objectively worse tho, gave away ult orb with a kill, allowed th to pick up orb and plant spike for more orbs and money, yea maybe heretics used 500 credits of util but they got way more than if fnc just jumped off

I think the point is fnc actually gamba stacked aggro a site to make a play/to pick off that 1 guy (lurker), sure it did played out worse in the end, but they could’ve have some winning chances if it did worked out. As for how they managed to plant the spike, it was very hindsight, but it was more on alfa’s error imo, he was not with the stack and was late in jumping off resulting in the spike being planted first. Also another difference was g2 was already down 9-4 while in fnc’s case it was only 0-1, I mean ppl should still respect g2’s decision to jump off since they deemed it as their most optimal play at the moment but it is what it is. All that fined/disrespectful yap was an overreaction for sure tho.
