Maybe helped them get better a lot cuz maybe they can scrim better teams
shanghai was a wake up call it think. especially on home ground. Also i think a lot of CN teams got to scrim world class teams and for the first time they probably realized how behind they were.
definitely a wakeup call for a team like EDG
and def a good opportunity for CN teams to scrim teams
it was a good source of practice for all of them and made them really motivated to get better. literally EVERY CN team improved in split 2 & they're hungry for more
fr, ppl clowned on EDG’s performance there but they had a very good reason for why their performance at shanghai was bad, yet everyone just ignored it.
a specific coach.
not to dog on after. without EDG would never exist but he just didnt suit where they needed to go
he basically talked about the fact that the gap between EDG and most of the other cn teams is so big that that they don’t know if certain strats, comps or playstyles actually work bc they can just be skill diffing the other teams and beat them anyways
Them getting to scrim with all the top teams is really vital there. That helps minimize the year gap they had noticeably
