How did it feel for you, MaKo, to be in the leadership position and having to rally your team back after the loss on Haven to eventually win the series?

MaKo: "Overall, I felt like we could have definitely won the series if we played a clean game without mistakes. After Haven, we were just like, 'Ok, it's only the first map.' We knew they had heavy hitters on the team and we knew they were a good team. It was a big loss, but it didn't take much for us mentally to recover because of how much of a gap there was with the scoreline. Going into the second and third map, we said, 'You know what? Let's pop their heads, let's shoot back, we can win this.'"

Were there any unexpected challenges or surprises from KRU today that you would say was the reason for the huge loss on Haven, and how do you recover mentally after that?

BuZz: "Coming into today, I think today we knew they were a good team and we knew how they were going to play. We were able to play our own game for maps two and three, but it was the individual talent and the amount of firepower that KRU had that took us by surprise because they were shooting better than we expected them to. On Haven, it was more on us, not to take anything away from KRU, however. For us, it was easier to mentally recover because all we had to do was reset our mentality and make sure that we played a good game, which we were able to do so."

Seoul is the first Champions event for Foxy9, Flashback, and BeYN. How did it feel playing a match with such high stakes in the biggest event of the year? Were the three nervous, and how did they work around those initial nerves to finish the match with a victory?

Foxy9: "Of course I was feeling nervous. We put in so much preparation only to lose in such a one sided way, which made me think about we were doing and if it was worth it or not. For Abyss, it was MaKo, termi, BeYN, my teammates, and also the coaching staff who tried to keep the energy up. They exchanged a lot of nice words to make sure we had enough energy and confidence to get through the series, and I'm really grateful for them."

BeYN: "I didn't think that I was feeling nervous or had any stage jitters, but after we got off the stage after the first map, everyone was telling me, 'Hey, you just froze on the stage. What's going on?'. Turns out, I just wasn't aware that I had stage jitters, so I just told myself to enjoy the game a lot more and that's how I shook away my nerves to perform better in maps two and three.

Flashback: "I was super nervous, of course, but I thought about our teammates, especially the OG leaders of the team. I really wanted to deliver to their expectations and their faith that they've been putting in me. I decided to step up my game, and everything went well."
