My dude, listen to me I have had depersonalization-derealization episodes last year and I havent had them since. The trick is to just accept the symptoms and not let them get to your head. Just read Dare book it will help you a ton, they also have a Dare mobile app. If you need additional help please comment down below and I will be more than pleased to help you.
I know how terrible this disorder is and it is completely curable trust me.

It's not something like cancer for which there is no remedy. This disorder is all in your head which was probably triggered due to some anxiety attack. It is 100% curable, trust me

Disassociation is a totally normal thing that everyone goes through at least once in their life. Don't worry, you'll get through it.

Sit down with yourself, take a long walk, etc. and talk to yourself. Try to make connections, understand your roots, and explore the choices you've made. Soul searching, as they call it. Really think about things. And do it often. Trust me when I say it helps a ton.

Also yes I've also gone through this. No joke I've had like 27 different character arcs in the post 4 years, to put it in that context.

I know how that feels. One moment I am someone the next moment I am someone else. It just feels so shitty to not know about myself.

here is a detailed article on things to do you should read the entire article
https://www.healthline.com/health/mental-health/dissociation-coping#So-how-do-we-begin-to-pivot-away-from-dissociation-and-work-on-developing-more-effective-coping-skills?-

here is a short list of things i got from it but please read the actual article fully and consider seeking help from a actual mental health doctor
try to do some of these things also talking therapies help

Keep a journal.
Try visualisation.
Try grounding techniques.
Think about practical strategies.
Make a personal crisis plan.
Talk to people with similar experiences.
Look after your wellbeing.
Dealing with stigma.

if you are mistaking it for derealization try doing
Touch something warm or cold. Focus on the warmth or cold.
Pinch yourself so that you feel how real you are.
Try to find a single object and start identifying what it is and what you know about it.
Count something in the room. Identify what they are.
Utilize your senses in any way possible.
it looks like a lot from what i have written but it really isn't go at your own pace and please understand that dissociation and it symptoms aren't something to hide and be ashamed of and try going easy on yourself take one step at time

My tip is to change ur ways. Do what you want to do, don't force urself into doing stuff just to fit in

(I have no idea wtf dissociation is, so pls downvote if I'm wrong, thx)
