Digimon and Yugioh cater very specifically to a younger audience. I just cannot watch it as an adult. Heck even a 15 year old me cannot watch them.

Unlike other anime shows like Naruto/Code Geass which can be watched by anyone above 12 years of age.

Anybody above the age of 14 probably does not care for these two shows anymore.

Ehhh. Digimon tamers and Yugioh(original or GX) are still things I like to watch. They legitimately are great shows. I mean they do cater a little to the younger ones. But these shows were probably the exceptions to that Kids anime can't have plot. Bc holy hell these three are great. I do agree that the recent ones are absolute shit though.

I have not watched Yu Gi Oh a lot. Too many eps and it was not streamed on Indian TV (at least on any channel I remember). It did have a decent plot though in the few arcs I watched.

Digimon was kinda meh from the start. Always seemed like a Pokemon clone.

YuGiOh is really good in the first 3 but it fell off harder than TSM after Ignition series.

Digimon is an odd one because the first series only gets better the longer you watch it. But the first part is shit. So unless you watched that part as a child, it feels unbearable. The character development is pretty surprising though. Trainers(3rd season) is definitely good though. Lackluster animation but it's old asf so it's already pretty impressive.

So... makes sense.

KEKW. I mean if you consider the manga. There is some good ass shit and the anime is getting better. But the original Yugioh and Digimon are good asf.
