wouldn’t there be a conflict of interest if team liquid Brazil hypothetically qualified to the Americas league through ascension since team liquid is already franchised in EMEA. I’m pretty sure this is the reason why cloud9 white had to disband bc they weren’t allowed to play in American challengers as cloud9 were already franchised.

I suppose it could be considered a conflict of interest, but I’m guessing Riot has a plan for if that ever happens - for example they recently created a rule that allows franchised orgs to field challengers teams as long as at least 3/5 starting players are eligible to compete in Game Changers. Also, some T2 orgs, especially in APAC, field second teams such as a U20 or U16 team, so this isn’t really an issue limited to just Game Changers. Hope this helps!
