We're happy to welcome @OfficialfRoD as our head coach for Valorant, to further our org's winning tradition in NA! #T1WIN
fRoD won numerous titles with compLexity Gaming and Evil Geniuses in the pre-Global Offensive days of Counter-Strike. He had a brief career in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive before briefly making a transition to Overwatch with FaZe Clan. He became the organization's esports manager soon after.
He then returned to Counter-Strike as a coach, which he was doing up until VALORANT's release. He was coaching the Swole Patrol roster and later Swole Identity before swapping games.
His history in Counter-Strike fits with the rest of the current T1 roster, who all most recently competed in Counter-Strike before joining the T1 VALORANT roster.
All three of T1's players competed on the same team together for the first time this past weekend at the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Invitational. They finished second on a roster that was not officially playing under the T1 name.
