He ditched the team specifically because he still had to play with his old teammates because NRG weren’t giving him the keys to a full rebuild, in the offseason his old buddies are 100% out the window.

That makes no sense. Then there's zero reason to come back this split and get mentally destroyed. He said that he will return next year with new team but clearly he changed his mind mid-year because he convinced himself that his old guys still have it in them.

He came back most likely because NRG were now willing to give him the keys for the offseason after the disaster that was the superteam, he just joined prematurely with s0m to see if they can be a bandaid for split 2

yeah exactly this, he spent all of 2024 saying he was NOT coming back because they didnt allow him to choose a team with s0m and him while removing crashies/vic (and chet probably looking at cs2 while they are in the middle of a fucking split), but clearly since they signed contracts for 2025!!!! they obviously told him come back see what you can do this split and no matter what you can build a new team with s0m for 2025 and that's his real last chance.

Yeah and he spent the last few months before his comeback hyping up the roster saying "we have some guys". This was before Demon1 and Marved being benched were public news. Obviously FNS knew Trashies and Shitcor were staying. He still had to say "Sam I think we have some guys"

This split was supposed to be the turning point bro. NRG should have at ended top 4 for FNS to do what you're saying he is gonna do.

FNS came back to make a statement to NRG that they aren't going to win shit without letting him control the roster. He may have lost the game today but to NRG he proved his point that their idea of just slamming 5 champs is not gonna work. FNS and s0m just embarrassed NRG management because they had way better results then they did when NRG cut em. If FNS finds the passion to cont playing I expect a underdog monster next year for the team hes gonna make.
