So does GenG automatically qualify with champ points? or to they need to go through playoffs? and if so what is the point of champ points

If gen g loses today and their next game they're in champs as long as PRX make top 3

But technically PRX could fuck them over for fun

They are qualify even if they lost all playoffs they are 4th place, but they need the seeding like 1st place the better in champions
