you can get pretty easily banned from trashtalking on text chat as far as i'm aware, friend of mine got chat banned for saying "fat fuck"

I don't know how others perceive it, but the way I see it, if it's related to their gameplay, mechanics, something regarding the way they're performing in the game, then it's trash talk. If it's just straight up blatant bullying with pretty much no correlation to performance, then it's harassment. Harassment is always comms abuse, trash talk can be comms abuse if it gets too extreme but usually isn't
