single elim doesnt mean theres a fraud winner, only that there might be good teams which exit early or bad teams which go on runs, (talon, paper rex for example) but not bad teams winning the whole thing
fnatic won, fnatic was the best team at the time. loud were second best and got second as they deserved
drx and navi fell off but got second in their regions right after lock//in, showing that at the time the best teams got the best results
sure the tournament wasnt a good way to judge teams, as some teams got unlucky with their bracket position. the tournament did not have the same competitive integrity as a masters or champions, but if lock//in was a masters with a lower bracket i think the top teams would have stayed VERY similar
