EDG needs changes, I'm pretty sure he'll be a starter, at least in their next upcoming match. Better to try him out earlier than later when the matches matter more.
And in terms of AfteR, he was the first coach in CN to properly drill in fundamentals and concepts like map control etc. This was part of why EDG was so ahead of other CN teams. But apart from this, AfteR might have genuinely done a lot worse for the team than good, what people don't realise is EDG have always been competitive internationally. First international, they were 2 rounds away from 2-0ing a PRX fresh from 2nd place at previous masters, and then it was the EXACT same for a 100T who was looking like NA's best team at the time. Tokyo was an ideal combination of strategy and individual aggressive plays (the cn style), but AfteR thinks it was them playing like Fnatic which won them rounds, but correlation isn't causation.
In reality this doesn't play to their strengths, there should be a balance, but he's trying to drop the CN style entirely. It's so dumb to try to beat teams at what they're already good at. And guess what happened when fnatic was no longer considered one of the best? They tried to copy FPX who played well gainst GENG. We know how that went. EDG needs a coach who actually cooks their own shit instead of making the team copy what they're not good at
