What made duelist -> sentinel so successful?

A lot of the sentinel players in Shanghai were former duelists (ex. Meteor, leaf, tex, I'm also pretty sure Alfajer played Raze a lot in 2022) who went from seeing mixed results to being one of the best players on their teams.

This made me wonder if it was anything regarding how they played duelist in the past that led them into becoming insane sentinels.

The best duelists thrive on information (ex: Texture, Yay, Zekken)
They are (or were) the best in the world because of their supporting cast providing so much information allowing them to frag out so easily
Senti are by far the class that provides the most info
So its very easy to frag out when you have such cracked aim and on top of that info that u can capitalise of
(during lurks, site holds, mid rounds)

im retarded but i think sentinel to be a very calm role which allows strong aimers to succeed and focus on their crosshair

old duelist players played duelist only cause their aim was good because that was the primitive thinking in old valorant, so really good aimers from back then gave up the role to players who are better at entrying so they can go to a calmer role where they can play calm and focus on themselves with their good aim

its also why i think demon1 should play senti cause he isnt even good at entrying

simply put sentinel and any supporting agent for that matter allow good aimers to thrive since there roles are mostly about taking aim duels or playing off your utility's info and in general making solo plays (ex: lurking , holding for info or pushes , etc ) which basically means your only priority is looking at your crosshair and comming the info you gain
